Revelations
Knowing What We Know Now and Observations of Continuity:
Silly Nina Noticed Stuff:
The Unexplained That’s Still Unexplained:

- Whatever happened to Charlie’s stash of drugs?
Sawyerisms
Trivia:
1. What did Eko give Charlie at episode’s end?
2. Who reached out to Ana Lucia?

Knowing What We Know Now and Observations of Continuity:
Silly Nina Noticed Stuff:
- This episode could also be titled, “Sayid’s Gonna Kick Ana Lucia’s Ass.”
The Unexplained That’s Still Unexplained:

Cool Stuff
Things To Throw Us Off That Later Turned Out to Mean Jack-Shit
Revelations
Knowing What We Know Now and Observations of Continuity:
- When the tailies found the bunker they found a chest with blankets, a bible, and a glass eye. Did we ever find out what that was about?
- Goodwin said that Nathan wasn’t a good person and that’s why he wasn’t on the list. What’s up with the list and who’s good and who’s not?
Silly Nina Noticed Stuff:
- Jack and Ana Lucia are a lot alike. Leaders that made huge mistakes (like Ana making Bernard turn off the radio when he made contact with Boone) out of know-it-all-ness.
The Unexplained That’s Still Unexplained:

Synopsis:
The tailies and Sayid continue their trek towards the survivor’s beach. During a romantic night with Sayid, Shannon once again sees Walt. Via flashbacks we learn about the death of Shannon’s father.
Cool Stuff
Things To Throw Us Off That Later Turned Out to Mean Jack-Shit
Revelations
- Shannon’s father died in the head-on collison with Jack’s future wife.
Knowing What We Know Now and Observations of Continuity:
- So, in this episode when Ana Lucia is warning Eko of the dangers of staying inland too long she says, “Remember Goodwin?,” which at the time made you think he was one of their own killed by the others. In the previous episode when Jin and Eko come across Goodwin’s body Jin asks, “Others?,” and Eko nods leading us to believe again that he was one of their own killed by the others. Now, we know, of course, that Goodwin was an “other.”
Silly Nina Noticed Stuff:
- Jack made one appearance in this whole episode. He brushed past Shannon and her stepmother in the hospital.
The Unexplained That’s Still Unexplained:
- What the fuck is up with the damn whispers in the jungle?
- Why was Shannon seeing Walt? What is up with him?
Sawyerisms
Trivia:
1. Claire reveals what about Charlie to Locke?
2. Shannon got an internship teaching what?

Synopsis:
The tail-end survivors decide they want to find the beach where the original survivors are living and instruct Jin, Michael, and Sawyer to lead the way. Via flashbacks we learn how Jin and Sun met.
Cool Stuff
- The very creepy scene (excellently shot, by the way) where Eko and Jin are hiding in the brush and see the others walk by… only their bare and dirty feet. The Others were a lot creepier when we thought they were bush dwellers.
Things To Throw Us Off That Later Turned Out to Mean Jack-Shit
Revelations
Knowing What We Know Now and Observations of Continuity:
- Ok, not to give away one of the trivia questions, but the body they find in this episode totally relieves any suspense of a future episode when someone’s identity is questioned. I’ll expand upon that more in that episode’s blog.
Silly Nina Noticed Stuff:
- Kate is an annoying twat.
The Unexplained That’s Still Unexplained:
Sawyerisms
Trivia:
1. What does Sun lose on the island?
2. Whose dead body does Jin and Eko find while searching for Michael?

Synopsis:
The survivors get adjusted with their new hatch responsibilities which includes Rose and Hurley taking food inventory. Via flashbacks we learn how winning the lottery changed Hurley’s life and not necessarily for the better. Sawyer, Jin, and Michael discover their captors are not “the others,” but additional survivors of Oceanic Flight 815.
Cool Stuff
Things To Throw Us Off That Later Turned Out to Mean Jack-Shit
Revelations
- We find out that the tailies have been living in their own hatch of sorts.
- 23 ppl survived from the tail-end of the plane.
Knowing What We Know Now and Observations of Continuity:
Silly Nina Noticed Stuff:
- Rose talks Hurley out of blowing up the food because he’s afraid all the power and responsibility will cause the other survivors to resent and hate him. After their talk, who removes the sweating dynamite from the damn pantry?
The Unexplained That’s Still Unexplained:
Sawyerisms
1. Rambina – Ana Lucia
Trivia:
1. What does Claire find washed up on the beach?
2. Who introduces himself to Michael and Sawyer at episode’s end?
