Finally got around to seeing this (thank you netflix for having me on the waiting list for weeks). I liked the bigger role of Simon in this one, got to actually like the model, and the fact that finally he wasn’t just a background cylon for the most part. Still a lot of questions, though this filled in some of why and what ifs. The nudity was there because well, they could and for no other reason. Contrived is right.

We finally got around to watching this last weekend and I was little underwhelmed.

The film very much felt like the “cheat” episode of a series where the producers fill the time with nothing but flashbacks. There *were* some great moments, but the film as a whole lacked cohesion in storytelling.

…and while I am a big fan of boobies (yay boobies!) – I felt the addition of the nudity felt contrived and worked as more of a distraction than a tool for the story.

“The Plan” did nothing to improve the awesomeness of BSG; it just served as a “remember how cool it was” moment.

I missed that part about the Base Stars. The main thing that disappointed me was that it didn’t answer ENOUGH questions. But would anything have?

OK, I have one more complaint. I had to wait an entire HOUR to see Starbuck, and even longer than that to see Helo

Agreed! My ONLY complaint is that I wish they would have released it earlier because I forgot some of the little details.
