A Little Something Something

Just so you all don’t think I’m dead…
I’ve been super busy with school, house stuff, and… *gasp* working. Well, not really working, but a little something something to put a few extra bucks in the bank account. I am technically an independent contractor conducting covert consumer transactions at various dining establishments and cinemas. You figure it out.
Then there’s school and writing. I’m still querying Sharing Space and writing my next novel, “Tales From the Biosphere.”
It’s not like I don’t have stories to tell, because I do! I just need the time to sit down and blog them. So, I promise, by Monday I will be all caught up on blogs.
What you have to look forward to:
- TV blogs: Dexter, Glee, The Amazing Race, Survivor, Flash Forward and Stargate Universe
- Mommy Monday: Kali has learned about puberty AND rednecks!
- BIOBaby: Jack has learned a new word, can now go down the stairs like a pro, and is still haircut free. Also, he’s still the cutest thing EVER. I’m not just saying that either. I mean, he really is a good looking kid. I’d say that even if he weren’t mine.
- BIOBitch: Donny starts a new position and we prepare for the most minimalist Christmas ever.
- End of Week Thoughts: By next weekend I’m sure I’ll have more, but currently I can’t get over the stupid media coverage of the Letterman extortion case and GOPers who were so down on the stimulus package now begging for some it. Also, I find it hysterical (well, not really) that when Republicans complain about this country or the President it’s them exercising their right to free speech all in the name of liberty and they damn-near masturbate with the flag, but if anyone else does it, they’re un-patriotic terrorist sympathizers that hate America.
- TCTBTF returns: I swear to God, if you people don’t stay on my ass I will blame its giant size on you!
- Fiction: A short story, posted in parts, called, “How Jenny Found Out I Loved Her.”
- Book Club: Blog about Fluke will be posted on Sunday. We can pick a new book next week.
Ok, I gotta run. Jack is going down the stairs unattended. I can hear the fabric of his PJs rubbing against the carpet.
In the meantime, how have you been? What’s going on? What have you been watching? Tell me EVERYTHING!

LikeSecret shopping rocks. I have gotten many free meals (and some goodies) out of it. I hate gas station ones though. You look like an idiot out there taking pictures of gas pumps...
I have been busy fighting, loving, working, walking, cleaning and eating fabulous dinners.

LikeI have been enjoying Stargate Universe, am addicted to True Blood (your fault), I am gradually losing my fat arse at Slimming World (6.5 pounds in 3 weeks) and want to see Whip It, 2012 and Zombieland when they all come out over here. Zombieland is tomorrow I think. I also have a cold as my boyfriend is too generous with his lurgies. I wish he'd have done his breathing elsewhere :)

LikeWTG Jack with getting more mobile! Going down the stairs is something I have trouble with since I broke my ankle and my mommy comes everyday to take care of my now 2 year old. I feel like a slacker because I can't do anything but play games on the computer and watch movies and tv. Also, I now find Mafia wars less exciting since leaving NY because I am zipping through Cuba, but Moscow rocks. Got the kids a Wii for Christmas with a Dell coupon and a credit card point gift certificate, it was $125. Now to find good games for it that they would like.

LikeI'm looking forward to your upcoming posts! I still haven't added Glee to my DVR, but only because our Wednesday nights are already booked with SYTYCD and the Real World/Road Rules challenge. So instead, I anxiously await Thursday mornings when I can watch it on Hulu. Then I proceed to watch the same episode nearly every day for the following week.
Aside from my new-found obsession with musical television, I've been job hunting, studying, and trying to support my husband's new business in any way that I can. We'll be having a minimalist Christmas, as well!

LikeWell aside from trying to unpack everything and get everything in the new house "Just so", not a whole lot. My work is slowing down, the kids are in school and my husband works too much, which in this economy is still not stimulating our home. So I am currently job hunting... which is no small task when the only job I've had in the last oh, 8 years?, aside from being a mom, is cleaning hotel rooms. I would love to go back to school, but money and time are issues. Not to mention that I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Is that incredibly sad?
As for TV, I watch too much. House, Grey's, Private Practice, Top Model, Desperate housewives, Big Bang theory(Which is a RIOT, BTW!) Law & Order, some new show about Identifying John/Jane Doe's that I can't remember the name of right now. And more I'm sure.
Everyone around me is pregnant right now and I am in the midst of Baby Fever. Too bad hubby and I made the "No more kids" thing permanent. And then again... I'm not sure I would want another. It comes and goes. Okay, that's it. I'll be looking for all those new blogs!!! And your book at Barnes & Noble.

LikeYes! Stargate Universe. I'm so, so happy you will be blogging about it :-)
We've been ignoring everything (House, Fringe, and starting Glee and Dollhouse) to finish Stargate: Atlantis. We started season 5 last night. I would be way more sad about this if we didn't have SGU.
PS Did you know Lisa Bonet is Ronon's baby mama?

LikeKali got the puberty talk/vids? Ugh, I remember seeing those videos in elementary school...I couldn't look at a boy for like a week. lol.
Oh, I'm totally loving Glee. I can't wait to read some blogs on it :) I'm an ex-show choir kid. I did it it elementary school, middle school and was devoted to it in high school. You can say it was my LIFE. I love the nostalgia is brings back. Oh, and I'm tooootally down for the tivos when you get published. hahaha. God, I'm DYING at home. We don't even have BASIC cable yet...or internet. Me and my roomies are getting everything together...we've only lived together for a month...but it's killing me being without the two!!

Saw The Invention of Lying, between that and reading the Lost Symbol I think we are about to have a religious shift...
Now that we have Santa Claus out of the way I am free to swap trips and build a bears all year long for a big bag of crap on the 25th...this year I am contemplating hitting a warmer local for the holidays...
have you played AC at all lately? One of the boys updated the firmware on the Wii and I cant get homebrew up anymore so i think i have to quit...cant water damn flowers all day...i just got Wii Fit Plus, if you already have Wii Fit its only $20, and it looks like it will keep me busy and maybe get me in shape too...pretending to be a flying chicken!

LikeI'm all for a minimalist Christmas. I'm just tired of a playroom filled with toys that no one really plays with. We've been giving a lot of stuff away and just getting down to basics.
Anyway, I found a great poem about gift giving and we're going to follow it this year. It's something like, "Give a child... something they want, something they need, something to play with, something to read." That means that my guys will be getting four gifts each -- and then they will get one big joint gift...a karaoke machine w/ipod dock. Then we'll do little stocking stuffers - mostly knitted stuff.

LikeIf we can afford it, Kali's getting a laptop and stocking stuffers. Jack will get small stuff and stocking stuffers. That's it. We stopped giving each other gifts a few years ago.

LikeWhen my kids were little, they could go up and down the stairs but I was always afraid they would fall if I wasn't right there. I taught my kids to sit on there bottom and slide down from one step to the next. They called it abuking- I don't know why, but would slide down saying, abuke, abuke, abuke at every step. They loved it and I didn't have to worry about them falling if I wasn't looking. They are 5 and 8 now and still do it from time to time just for fun.
Can't wait to read your new stuff, but I know you're busy. Make sure you find some you time in there somewhere, we'll still be here.
