BIOBaby: So Far, So Good and Other Short Stories

It’s been a little over 8 months and so far Jack has yet to pee in my face. Some of you are probably wondering why I’m keeping a running clock. Ever since I can remember I’ve been terrified of having a son for one reason; his penis. It kinda freaks me out. And that’s weird considering that most women have to become quite intimate with a penis in order to have a son. But adult penises are different. They can be beautiful. Baby penises look weird. They remind me of turtles.

I’m not a fan of all the ball lifting and skin movement involved in cleaning one either. But, as a mother I do what I gotta do no matter that I risk a pee shot to the face and no matter how funny the nuts look. Soon after Jack came home from the hospital I called my Dad…

“Jack’s balls look funny.”

“They’re probably not what you’re used to.”

And the pee thing doesn’t freak me out because it’s pee. Again, as a Mom I’ve dealt with worse. With both Kali and Jack I’ve had to suction out their clogged up, grody, booger noses… with my mouth. Hey! My babies couldn’t breathe and those suction balls were crap! Anyway, I’m a Mom so I’m not easily freaked out by poop, pee, vomit, and snot. What really scares me about taking some baby pee in the face is the lack of warning. It’s the, “Will today be the day” that is freaking me out!

It’s not like he’s gonna say something first like, “Look out, Mommy!,” or, “Duck!,” or “I’m R. Kelly, Mom!,” or, “Look, Ma. No hands!”

He’s just gonna piss in your face.

And possibly your eye.

Thank God We Don’t Have a Cat

Sunday night I had a dream that Jack and I were in this really raggedy house in Brooklyn. He was sleeping on a bed right by the front door in the foyer and I was looking around for… the keys, the Bogeyman… I felt imminent danger. I could see our car parked at the curb, and I just wanted to get out of this house. It was dark and scary. I went to the bottom of the stairs and peered up at the second floor. One of my sisters, Naiemah, was there feeding her son who was sitting in a high chair. He’s 8.

A black cat came bounding down the stairs. It jumped on my head and then on the bed with Jack. I grabbed Jack, but the cat kept trying to jump on him. I would bat the cat away, and he spring back hissing and clawing. I had the cat in my right hand, while holding Jack against my left hip. The cat was scratching and biting at me. I had this one thought, “Nina, you’re gonna have to put Jack down for one minute and use both hands to snap this cat’s neck,” and then I woke up.

I woke up in a fierce Mama Bear mood. I was ready to snap necks. If we had a cat, it would have been dead yesterday morning. Bella is so lucky.

Fetch!

Jack has had a low-grade fever off and on for the past two days. I think he’s cutting more teeth. Because of this, he’s pretty much getting anything he wants so long as he’s comfortable and happy. Last night he kept tossing a teething toy off the side of the couch. We’d kept it in the freezer for awhile hoping the cold would feel good against his gums. Well, once it warmed up, Jack didn’t want it. I wasn’t getting that message because I was too busy cooing at him, and every time he tossed it, I retrieved it.

“Do you know how much Mama loves you? Huh? I can’t wait for you to understand my words so I can tell you how much I love you and you’ll know.”

Donny, who has been holding Jack the whole time and watching our little game, says, “Oh, he knows how much you love him by the way he can get you to fetch that damn teething ring.”

“Shut up.”

I give it back to Jack who proceeds to hit it on the arm of the couch in increments of three and grunting, “Uh uh uh,” with each hit.

“Jack, don’t throw it okay? Listen to Mommy.”

“Uh, uh, uh.”

“Jack, dont’…”

He looks at me. He smiles. He throws it.

Donny says, “He just told you, ‘Fuck yo couch!’”

Nose Biter

Tried to get video of Jack’s nose-biting but he came a’running once he saw the camera…

I did get a still shot though…

nosebite

Jack and Donny play on the floor a lot and that’s Jack’s latest “thing” – biting Daddy’s nose.

Another floor moment…

AHHHh, jack is getting bigger! He's a pie. Awww, he is soOo cute you better know it!

HEYYY im worried about you!! Where have you been? I miss the author of my favorite blogs

*tear*

Could those photos be any more adorable?

I layed my 3 month old son on the loveseat yesterday to change his diaper. I was just thinking to myself, "hmm he hasn't tried to pee on me in awhile..." Right after that thought, he pee'd alllll over the loveseat and the mail sitting next him. It's a good thing we're getting new furniture shortly cause I'm sure no one wants to sit on our urine soaked loveseat.

Jack is a bundle of joy! Can't wait to pop out my own rug rats!

I wasnt gonna comment cuz im too much of a rush but i couldnt help but LMAO @ “I’m R. Kelly, Mom!,” or, “Look, Ma. No hands!”

Loving the pics!!! they are so cute!! I used to do that to my parents. lol

with all the diaper changing(about 12 or 15 kids... yeah lots of relatives and well 3 of those were non relatives) ive done in my life I can honestly say i never got peed or pooed on *kniocks on wood* ... ive got spit up and vomitted on but whatever... its not the same lol

I bet my kids will pee on me... >:o I would NOT be surprised

I was never peed on by Sol but Dan had his share of trauma. He deserved it mind you. If you hear a 'hissing' noise coming out of your newborns bum while your changing his nappy you:

a) do not lean in really close to listen
b) pause

I remember the day so well. Dan came tearing out into the kitchen stuttering, "He..he...he...POOED ON ME! HE POOED EVERYWHERE!"

Dan rocked in the corner while I cleaned up the mess.

LMFAO!

One morning we woke up and Shelby had poop all over her room EVEN ON THE CEILING!
Steve went to get her.
ALl I heard was this blood curdling scream so if course i went runnin.Shelby was in her crib, he was just standing there lost." shit, shit is EVERYWHERE! he about cried. Shelby and I both looked at him like he was dim.
For 3 days he would just look at her and say "HOW on earth did you do THAT?"

I have been peed on by all 3. With Truman it was a damn sport!

I had a traumatic poo experience with one of my cousins when we were little. We were at our grandmother's house. Me and gramma woke up to this horrible smell, i walked into the baby's room and there was poop EV-ER-Y-WHERE. I was like 6 or 7. On the walls, in the crib horrible, just horrible. I still have an aversion to diapers. I'll change em, but I make it quick.

he hums his self awake.

my gf's son wakes up with a smile on his face. even though I may be groggy when I wake up after i see him standing in the crib smiling ready for some milk and potty time, it fades a little until he starts throwing cheerios on the floor.

LOL, between the blog about Kali not washing her ass, and Jack's balls looking weird you better hope and pray these kids don't grow up to read your blog cause if they do they will hate you for life.
Most kids have to grow up and worry about their mom showing their boyfriend/girlfriend pics of them naked as babies, your kids have to worry about you telling everyone about the most embarrassing of things.

Thanks for the laugh today, I really needed it.

Your family is very beautiful.

Biting Donny's nose probably feels good on his gums as well.

& your very fortunate to not have been peed on yet. I've been peed and pooped on by all three children. Apparently I'm slow at changing diapers.

All I have to say is ..... I'm rooting for Jack to get ya one day, cause I'm not even a parent and had to go through the pee to the face!! LOL

AND, I still wanna kiss his cheeks!!

Jack's, not Donny's!! LOL

Hahaha, I think I am possibly the only person in Scotland that would've got the 'Fuck yo' couch' bit. It made me snort with laughter three times there. Brilliant.

Also...Jack = sofreekingcuuuute!

Sarah xx

Jack is the cutest baby everrrrrrr.

That is all.

My boys never peed in my face, but my daughter came close. When she was a newborn, I never dreamed it could stream up from a girl, but it did there in the early first couple of weeks, straight up. I wonder if Jack thinks Donny's nose is a nipple.

you know my mother has strange dreams involving us as well. one dreams stands out just because it was TOTALLY screwed up. she dreamed that corey haim was chasing us around this house that turned into a maze. he was apparently trying to kill us.

I hate cats, baby kittens, big ass fat cats I hate them all. I especially hate cats around babies. I'm sure there are some good cats out there, but I have yet to meet one.
You have the cutest little nose biter ever! I love that he isn't camera shy at all and babies yawning has to be one of the most precious things in the world. Jack is so beautiful thanks for sharing him with us.

Adorable. Bella used to do the nose biting thing too. And her latest game is "throw shit and get mom to pick it up".

Jack biting Donny's nose....just adorable. You should get it in b/w.

Gavin's never pee'd in my face but he had pee'd on my hands, legs and chest.

LOL @ I woke up in a fierce Mama Bear mood. I was ready to snap necks. If we had a cat, it would have been dead yesterday morning....lol ready to snap necks..lol....classic.
