TCTBTF: Week 12

People often comment, “I don’t know how you do it all!”
I multi-task like a mofo. If I didn’t, I’d go insane. I am incapable of doing just one thing. If I’m studying or doing homework, I’m also watching shows off the TiVO. If I’m going to the bathroom, I’m also reading or on the laptop tweeting and blogging. If I’m playing a video game with Donny, I will stop to read a book when new scenes are “loading.” Even when I’m falling asleep, I’m writing. I’m thinking about the next chapter of my book, or my next blog, of a school project. For someone so lazy, I honestly can’t sit and do nothing.
For the past 12 weeks I’ve made changes to my eating habits, fallen off the wagon, and climbed back on again. I’d yet to make a committment to working out though. My excuse had been, “I’m too busy.” And I am! Between Jack, Kali, schoolwork, the site, and my book, I’m swamped. I couldn’t figure out a way to work out and get other things done. The thought of sweating away on the elliptical and just… well, sweating away on the elliptical seemed boring and a waste of time.
Until last night…
I came home from class, nursed the baby, and changed into work-out clothes. I got on the elliptical and while I worked out…. I played the X-BOX. I know, I know! But it worked! The time flew. I’d been saying for months now that I wish I had freetime to play video games like I used to. Well, now I have a way to get my gaming on and do something worthwhile.
Last night it was Uno Rush. I don’t think I can handle anything as involved as sniping people in the head in Halo 3. I’ll just stick to card games for now.
Breakfast today: Yogurt and cranberry juce. After I post this I’m gonna make some egg whites, whole wheat toast, with a tbs of peanut butter and more juice. Dinner will be pasta with meat sauce and a green salad.
I’m down 2lbs this week. Bringing my 12 week total to …. -4. I’m getting back on track, folks. And when Donny gets home and takes Jack, my Mom and I will do the Wii Fit.
How have you been?

I have been sad. In January my boyfriend bought us both mountain bikes in an effort to get us involved in a physical activity that was more than clicking a remote and opening a menu. Since then we have enjoyed riding the trails in our local park and cruising the neighborhood about 4 times a week. We have had so much fun and we both started to see physical results in our fitness and appearance. But then 2 weeks ago I had a horrible freak bike accident while riding a paved path. I fell off my bike, my body flew into my handlebars (that had since turned sideways) and my hand brake impaled my thigh at least 3 inches deep. The wound runs parallel to the bone, not straight through to the bone. Thankfully no muscle, veins or bones were injured. Just my fat. We joke that it was my failed attempy at liposuction. All that said, I have not been able to ride my bike since it happened bc my leg is not healed. I feel like a blob bc I have been so inactive. It is a big snowball effect on my eating habits too. When I am exercising, I eat better so that my efforts wont go to waste. But when I am sitting on the couch feeling sorry for myself because I am hurt and bored, I want Doritos.

LikeOh my fat ass is going to a lapband appointment this Saturday to possibly get moving on that track. I have struggled with my weight since I first realized I was heavier than everyone in the first grade. I'm tired of it. So there's my secret. I just told you all. And I'm pretty damn excited about it :). For some reason though, my husband thinks if I have it done, and I get all fab and stuff that I'm gonna leave him. I love that man and my daughter more than anything or anyone. I don't understand why he feels that way. And he's a good looking man. I just want to look like I didn't force him to marry me when people see my chunky ass on his studly arm. I totally just rambled...

LikeI'm not even going to check my weight. I know it's either in the neg or the same. I'm fine thinking it's the same. Going to start using my Gazelle this week though, provided I have a good friend who verbally abuses me to do so.
I had a normal day today, no pigging out. Yay. Tomorrow I'm all about the shredded wheat and salad, but not together.

LikeI worked out on Friday for an hour. Walked to the park, ran laps when I got there, and walked home. My legs still hurt.
I've been snacking on carrots every chance I get. Keep them in my purse. You should see me munching like a grandma. lol I gave up bacon.

LikeI honestly think if I had one of those set ups where you have to pedal to power your computer I would weigh about 95 pounds.... yeah, the computer is a big part of my business, busy-ness, and laziness.
You are still young and healthy and the eliptical while playing Uno sounds like a great way to make a work out work for you.
Have you tried the new 'cran-energy' drinks? They sell them by the case at Sam's now. No sugar added and not all edgy crazy like some energy drinks. Around here we have gone through three cases already in a little over a month, of course there are three adults in the house who all love cranberry juice, especially when it is enhanced.

LikeI had a really rotten week. My anal retentive boss is BEGGING to be slapped. But on the upside my "friend" that lived in Indi and I are coordinating another visit so I'm looking forward to that.

LikeI used to do that - right after Sol was born, I would get on the stationary bike and play Ratchet and Clank while working out...I found I would speed up my peddling while shooting things. I need to do that again. I miss playing games. Now, I exercise while catching up on t.v.
When I start going back to the gym I will read while on the elliptical.

LikeNINA, these muthafuckas at this conference are NOT helping me be good. Two days in a row bringing out Turtle Brownines (Browning COVERED with caramel and pecans) and cookies bigger than my hand. grrrrrr
but...I left them alone so I cheat with red velvet cake tonight!! lol
lost 5 lbs since last Friday!

LikeThat's funny cause I was playing Uno Rush last night as well! It's quite an interesting take on Uno, isn't it? I like it though.

LikeI just started going back to the gym, mostly for recouperation purposes. But oh the side benefits! I'm swimming and biking. 45 min-1 hour each (on alternate days) The former has the wonderful side effect of turning my tummy into granite...and I'm sure it's doing something to my lungs since when I started I could barely do a lap without dying for breath and now (2 weeks later) I can do 3.
Biking is...biking. The fact that my ass no longer gets sore means I'm getting used to it. The only thing that gets me through is my ipod and people watching.
PTs won't let me do weights yet, which sucks, because thats where the real weight is lost. That and eating, which I am just today taking care of. Salads instead of dumplings for lunch. :(

LikeI've been back on the wagon for two weeks now, including working out, and the scale isn't budging! Usually I lose at least a pound or two right away... not this time.
Maybe I'm weird, but I can't read or do anything that requires a lot of concentration when I'm on the elliptical - it makes me sick to my stomach. I wish I could, because your workout multitasking is one of the best ideas I've heard :)

Like"For someone so lazy, I honestly can’t sit and do nothing." We should form a club cuz ur def not the only one.
Im doing well... I think. Honestly, Ive been too tired and depressed to get on that wii fit and into my situps regime... Im just, idk, tired. im doing schoolwork as i type this and listening to music. And Im hungry so i might cook something and do all this during, just cuz, well, it bores me not to multitask LOL
Thatd be a good top 10 list. Top 10 ways to multitask when you think you cant! lmao

LikeI was good all week until about 20 minutes ago....
I ate Wendy's :(
What! Don't look at me like that, the Wendy's here are few and far between so when some says "Hey, Anissa I'm getting Wendy's for lunch, you want anything?"
"Well yes dammit, I do want something or three somethings"
But I have been doing A LOT better. I lost 2 lbs this week :)
