TCTBTF Week 10: Saboteurs!
March 13, 2009 by nina
Filed under Too Cute To Be This Fat
After four weeks of very bad behavior (McDonalds, banana pudding, and cookies, oh my!) I am getting back on the wagon. Being overwhelmed with school and Jack are no excuse.
Despite my mother’s and Donny’s (who knew he was a chubby chaser?) actions to sabotage my efforts, not to mention my own weakness, I will be weighing in tomorrow to survey the four-week damage.
No matter what the numbers are, I’m prepared to take action.
1. I’ve planned my menu for next week and will be going out for the ingredients tomorrow morning.
2. My Mom works out before I wake up. She will hold on to Jack from 9am-10am every morning so I can work out.
I tease my mother because as I watched her unpack the other day, I noticed every weight loss apparatus sold on television. There were belts, balls, straps, and ropes.
“The next time you want to piss away some money, just give it to me.”
Yesterday, she said..
“I think I’m gonna hook up my VCR tomorrow.”
“Who still uses a VCR?”
“I do.”
“Why?”
“For my Tae-Bo tapes.”
Jesus.
Because so many have asked, and since I won’t be using it anytime soon… the banana pudding recipe my mom has made twice since she’s been here.
Warning: It’s so good it will make you want to smack yo’ mama, and then my mama for all the calories, then Paula Dean ’cause that’s who she got it from. I include this for all my non-dieting peeps a.k.a. the skinny bitches.
- 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
- 6 to 8 bananas
, sliced - 2 cups milk

- 1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
, softened - 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12-ounce) container frozen
whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream
Directions
Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.
In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Diet challenge: Major props to the first person that can low-fat that baby down.
So, here I go again, and wish me luck!
How have your efforts gone?

LikeI'm doing great!!! Posting my weekly weight loss blogs has kept my ass in line. At the end of Week 7, I'm down 13.5 lbs. Only 60 more to go, lol.
Glad to have you back, I know you'll do great!

LikeHow did the weigh in go? Sorry if you said it somewhere in the comments. I'm down 6 lbs from the beginning of Feb. Something funny though, is I only weighed a couple lbs less than I do now when I moved to NYC, and I was definitely wearing smaller clothes. :(
I haven't been weight training because I haven't been getting out of bed early enough to have time to do that and cardio at the gym, but I'm now motivated to really focus on toning again. I want my toned thighs back!!!

LikeI'm still down 3lbs from when I started 10 weeks ago. That means I've gained back 4-6 pounds in the past 4 weeks of being an idiot. Tomorrow morning marks my return to the elliptical. *sigh*

Like"Aka the skinny bitches!" You've got too much funny to be fair! :O)
I've lost a stone and it's taken me since the beginning of December- ye gads! Since I have the equivalent of a small person in weight to lose, I'd rather hoped it would've come off quicker, but this is the first time I've dieted avec auto-immune disorder, and I'm glad it's coming off at all, truth be told. That pudding looks yuuuuuuuuuumy, and I'm not just saying that because I'm drunk! :P

Likein regards equipment...I have an ab-lounger..thing is its as good for lounging as it is for Abs so often I fall asleep in it while watching tv ;) The Wii fit is good, they have more games coming out for the board that will make it more worth the investment. We also have Outdoor Adventure Challenge which is interesting and the DDR but the Wii version SUCKS as it has only old disco music, and not even by the original artists. I bought Jillian Michels for the Wii and gave it away already. She was very annoying and I couldnt make a character that looked like me. I just bought My Fitness Coach ( i lie, i got it for xmas! ) but I havent tried it yet.
My diet plan, back on the pills I am..they worked before, they will work again!

LikeThe best part about this blog is that my name wasn't in it. LOL.
The second best thing is that your first tag is not anything to actually do with weight loss, but is in fact 'banana pudding recipe', as if you know you will have more visits based on a search for that, then say, 'weight loss blog'.
LMAO.
My mother used to do that stuff - have all those 'As Seen On TV' fitness gadgets.
Remember those foam-rubbery torso belts? They look like foam girdles...
My mother still has one, and that little wheel with handle bars. Like I'm going to bend over on the floor and roll a wheel all over the place. WTF?

LikeBending over to roll a wheel all over the floor sounds too much like vacuuming, and I don't do that either.
Yesterday, I was going to vacuum while Donny was at McDonald's. I didn't because I couldn't figure out how to turn it on. True story. Ask my Mom.

I used to pay my brother's ex wife to fold my clothes. Otherwise, they sit in boxes, totes, bags until I need to wash them again.

LikeI'd love to try to offer a lower calorie version.
How's this sound...
Substitute the following:
Reduced fat Nilla wafers for the cookies (three of those cookies are 130 calories)
Substitute rice milk or low fat milk (skim)
Use low-fat (not fat free, that tastes like ASS) cream cheese
Now for the ingredient with the most calories - the sweetened condensed milk.
I could eat a whole can of it with a spoon... ALL 1300 CALORIES.
The majority of the calories in sweetened condensed milk come from the sugar. There is a 'low-fat' version of sweetened condensed milk, but the calorie reduction is pretty small. The can has 1200 calories, instead of 1300.
I would probably skip the sweetened condensed milk and substitute regular coconut milk. It does have a lot of calories, but is better for you. I love the flavor and prefer my deserts to be less sweet than most. So, that's what I would do.
However, to be more like the original, there is another option. You can make your own sweetened condensed milk with a sugar substitute.
Here's a recipe:
Sugar Free Fat Free Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 1/3 cup Nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup splenda
In glass measuring cup stir together milk powder & water till it's a paste. Cover and microwave on high for 45 seconds or until hot but not boiling.
Stir in Splenda.
Cover and store in fridge. Chill at least 2 hrs before using.
Keeps for 2 weeks and makes 12 oz.
Anyone that tries this - let me know how it turns out!

LikeI started running in August of last year. I ran until Novemeber and dropped off. I did one race. I lost 20 lbs. I was feeling really good about myself. I am very lazy about running or walking in cold weather, however I should have continued. I am going out in the morning to do some cardio. Weather is not an excuse!!! I don't want to get larger and I know that I need to address my health issues. I sit and watch Biggest Loser every week. Sometimes I eat during and sometimes I fall asleep... proof that my body needs a make over when it comes to excerise and a new health regime. This week... I had way to many things I shouldn't have. I feel guilty, but like I said in the morning when I get up I am going to attack this weight problem and try to do things alittle differently. :0)
I appreciate other people being motivated...it keeps me focused. I think everyone needs support.

I keep thinking of getting one but don't want $90 sitting in a corner when the new wears off.. ya know? Right now I'm just playing tennis and a little boxing and that kicks my tail sometimes!
